The Pro Loco Nediške doline - Natisone Valleys has created the Natisone Valleys 44 votive churches trail, to guide visitors in the discover an artistic and architectural heritage that testifies to the connection this area represents between the Slavic and the Western world.
The 44 votive churches trail was created to highlight an artistic and architectural heritage, still almost completely unknown to the general public. Often immersed in the greenery of nature and in the most scenic spots in Benečija, the churches hold valuable works of art and architecture. Valuable artists from the Slovenian Škofja Loka school worked there, bringing along artistic influences from Central Europe.
The churches are not open to the public; however, you can visit them inside during guided tours organised by the Pro Loco Nediške doline - Valli del Natisone.
