Vacation package: E-BIKE – Among meadows, forests and vineyards

An active and rejuvenating vacation immersed in the unspoiled nature of the Natisone Valleys, a corner of Friuli Venezia Giulia on the border with Slovenia.

We will discover these valleys by e-bike among faith, unspoiled nature, culture and history.

PROGRAM:

DAY 1: Arrival in Benečija - Prepotto/Prapotno

  • Individual arrival in Prepotto and accommodation in farmhouse.
  • Free time for poolside relaxation or a possible climb to the Castelmonte/Stara Gora Shrine, also known as the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Castelmonte, is one of the oldest and most venerated Marian shrines in Italy.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.

ACCOMMODATION IS PROVIDED AT THE AGRITURISMO TINELLO SAN URBANO: Located in Prepotto on the border with Slovenia, surrounded by the vineyards of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. It offers well-kept accommodations with all amenities and has an outdoor pool and a popular restaurant.

 

DAY 2: E Bike - Discovering the Natisone Valleys

  • Breakfast, dinner and overnight stay.
  • Rent the e-bike and set off for the TRIBIL MEADOWS, which offer a wide variety of outdoor activities and breathtaking views. The mountain is popular with hikers for its well-marked trails that vary in difficulty. this location is also rich in local history and traditions: Small villages and ancient churches testify to the long history of human settlement in the region.
  • Stop along the way at the Le Api del Lago apiary in Tribil Superiore, can be described as one of Friuli's hidden gems. This farm is known for its production of high quality honey and is an example of how agricultural traditions can be integrated with sustainable and innovative practices. The apiary represents u important contribution to the conservation of local biodiversity and the promotion of Friuli's agricultural traditions.
  • Continuation of the tour with a stop for lunch at the Casa delle Rondini along the way. It is a picturesque structure located in Friuli, typical for its rural charm and harmony with its surroundings. The name itself recalls swallows, a symbol of home and return, suggesting a cozy and peaceful place, perfect for an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
  • Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

DAY 3: E Bike - The Judrio Valley and Mount Kolovrat

  • Breakfast, dinner and overnight stay.
  • Riding the e-bike we set off on a tour of Val Judrio to discover Mount Kolovrat. It is located on the border between Italy and Slovenia. it has a 'significant historical importance, having been the scene of bitter fighting during World War I. In addition to the war history, the region around the mountain is rich in local cultures and traditions. We can find small villages and towns that offer the opportunity to discover Friuli's art, crafts and gastronomy. Also on Mt. Kolovrat we can visit the Open Air Museum. This museum represents a memorial to World War I, preserving and displaying remains of trenches, bunkers and other military structures that testify to the fighting that took place along the Isonzo/Soča Front.
  • Lunch with travel basket provided by the agritourism.
  • Return in the late afternoon to the farmhouse.

DAY 4: CIVIDALE DEL FRIULI - Goodbye, Benečija!

  • Breakfast.
  • Departure for CIVIDALE DEL FRIULI for a free tour of this important picturesque town located in the Friuli region. It was founded by the Romans in 50 B.C. as Forum Iulii and has a rich and fascinating history reflected in its architecture, traditions and surrounding natural beauty. The city is enlivened by numerous cultural events and festivals throughout the year. Among the most famous is the Palio di San Donato, in memory of medieval traditions. Entrance and audio-guided tour of the Lombard Temple, consisting of a square-based hall with a cross vault, which closes with a chancel, lower, divided by pairs of columns into a three-bay arcade with parallel barrel vaults.
  • Lunch at a restaurant.
