The Refuge "Rifugio Escursionistico Pian dei Ciclamini" offers board and lodging services to give school groups the opportunity to develop the following naturalistic and historical themes together with the Julian Pre-Alps Natural Park and specialized guides:
- European Green Belt (EGB) in the Julian Pre-Alps Natural Park;
- Word Games on the path “Percorso Fuori;
- Water, Energy and Musi Valley Nature Trail;
- Orienteering in the Park;
- The Naturalist's Notebook;
- Forest Pedagogy.
In case of bad weather or when needed, the Refuge provides the dedicated room for alternative lectures or workshops.
Guided Day Tours
Guided day tours are organized by the Julian Pre-Alps Nature Park, which is responsible for developing the required topics and coordinating the certified naturalist guides. The Refuge provides food service for catered lunches and possible snacks at subsidized prices.
Multi-day educational trips to the Julian Pre-Alps Nature Park: notes from the Refuge
The Refuge offers room and board services to all school groups who wish to stay overnight for multiple days to learn about and experience the Julian Pre-Alps Nature Park and the Julian Alps Biosphere Reserve.
We provide quotes to schools and teachers who will get in touch with us through official channels for bilateral arrangements, i.e., quotes only for services under our purview such as full boarding houses with possible packed lunches.
The organization of guided tours is coordinated and managed by the Park Authority.
The Refuge does not provide quotes or take care of organizational details of guided tour services but only puts applicants in touch with professionals in the field.
