A walk along one of the routes used by our smugglers: a story from the past
The meeting point is in Tribil Superiore/Gorenji Tarbij, where we will begin our walk along farm roads and paths that lead us close to the border with Slovenia (formerly Yugoslavia). The route, hidden from local guards and spies, will take us past signs and codes that we will decipher in silence, so as not to fall into the traps set by the finance police, where unfortunately not everyone manages to get away unscathed. The reward for escaping danger can only end with a celebration.
This will be followed by lunch featuring typical dishes from the Natisone Valleys at the Burnjak festival, with the following menu:
- Orzotto with vegetables, lovage, and Frant cheese from the Cividale Dairy
- Sausage from the Snidaro farm and cappucci with apples
- Chestnuts from the Natisone Valleys
- 1 glass of wine, 1/2 liter of water
Path: easy trail suitable for everyone; no special skills required.Length and elevation gain: approximately 10 km; 309 meters.

Required equipment: hiking clothes, comfortable shoes, water as needed.
Notes: dogs are welcome.
Cost per person (includes lunch at the festival and guide):
