Back for its fourth year: the Saffron Field Lunch in the Natisone Valleys!
A unique experience designed for adults and families curious to discover saffron and the authentic flavors of the region. Throughout the day, you'll visit the fields of the L’Oro della Benečija farm with Angela, and enjoy an outdoor lunch surrounded by nature, featuring saffron risotto and other local specialties.
Program:
- 11.00 am – 12.00 am → Guided tour of the saffron fields with Angela, who will explain how the flowers are harvested and how saffron is used in cooking.
- 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm → Lunch in the open air: saffron-based aperitif, farm-to-table starter (vegetarian option available), saffron risotto (vegetarian option available), white wine, water, and coffee.
- 2.00 pm – 2.30 pm → Chestnut roast over an open fire with a glass of local Ribolla wine.
During and after lunch, you’ll also have the chance to purchase saffron and other local products from L’Oro della Benečija to take home.
