Caving in Resia: The Fontanone Barman and its caves

Location: Lischiazze/Liščaca, 33010 Resia/Rezija (UD) | Parking \'Fontanone Barman\'


Discovering the Karst Phenomena of the Musi Mountains: the resurgence springs, the Fontanone Barman waterfall, and the Barman Cave. We'll walk through a beautiful beech forest, reach the base of the waterfall, and then explore the fascinating Barman Cave, just a short distance away.

  • Length: 2 km + 200 m in the cave
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Elevation gain: 75 m
  • Registration: required at least 48 hours before the event.
  • Meeting point: 9:30 AM at the Fontanone Barman parking area --> Google Maps

What to bring: Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, hiking boots or sturdy shoes, fleece or thermal layer for the cave (inside temperature 8 °C).
Participants: Min. 5 - max. 10
Language: Italian
Requirements: Suitable for participants with hiking experience. Not recommended for those with claustrophobia or mobility issues. Minimum age: 12 years.
