Location: Tarcetta/Tarčet, 33046 Pulfero/Podbonesec (UD)
Now in its 27th edition, the Tarcetta – Giant Chestnut Hill Climb will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, with registration and check-in starting at 9:00 a.m.
Who can compete
The event is open to all cycling enthusiasts (minimum age: 14) who are either:
- members of a recognized sports association, or
- holders of a valid competitive medical certificate for cycling.
Cyclists can compete with the following bikes:
- Road bikes
- Mountain bikes (MTB)
- Gravel bikes.
Participation of FCI-licensed competitive athletes is not permitted.
Teh Hill climb time trial
An individual time trial covering 4.5 km with 350 m of elevation gain, officially supervised by CSAIn FVG and timed by professional chronometrists.
The course:
- Start in Tarcetta/Tarčet with a gentle 500 m climb
- Steeper double-digit gradients near San Giovanni d’Antro/Landar
- Faster yet decisive final section with switchbacks and rising slopes leading to Cocenazi/Kočjanci, the finish area

The categories will be divided by gender and age group:
Men:
- Beginners
- Juniors
- Seniors 1
- Seniors 2
- Veterans 1
- Veterans 2
- Gentlemen 1
- Gentlemen 2
- Super Gentlemen “A”
- Super Gentlemen “B”.
Women:
- Women “A”
- Women “B”.
At the Finish
Each participant will find:
- A final refreshment area
- A live timing screen
- Their personal bag with a change of clothes.
Additionally, during the event:
- Mechanical assistance
- Post-race pasta meal
- Fully stocked stand as part of the traditional Chestnut Festival.
The event will close with the award ceremony.
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, November 16, 2025.
