Sunday, November 9
- At 8.30 AM: Food stands open (up until sunset); gathering for the hike to the monumental chestnut tree of Pegliano, with environmental hiking guide Marco Zorzenon, at the square in Tarcetta/Tarčet (Tarcetta/Tarčet 96, 33046 Pulfero, UD).
- At 9.00 AM: Gathering of participants for the Tarcetta – Giant Chestnut Hill Climb and start of the hike to the monumental chestnut tree of Pegliano:
The hike follows a 7.5 km circular trail with a 370-meter elevation gain, lasting about 4 hours including breaks and a visit to the votive chapel of Saint Donato. The route features moderate slopes and is suitable for experienced hikers. Trekking shoes are required, hiking poles recommended. Registrations required by calling (+39) 331 857 5024. Fee: 10 € per person (it includes a pasta meal on arrival in Tarcetta). Children under 8 years: 5 €.
- At 10.30 AM: Start of the Tarcetta – Giant Chestnut Hill Climb
- At 13.00 AM: Pasta (by the Alpini Group of Pulfero/Podbonesec), local delicacies, roasted chestnuts, and ribolla wine. Small local market with regional products.
Participants in the hill climb and hikes can visit the Antro Cave at a reduced ticket price.
