Location: Planinski dom Pod Ježo (Kuščarji 3, 5215 Kuščarji, Slovenia)
On Friday, December 26, the 6th edition of the “hut-to-hut” hike will take place, organized by the alpine clubs Planinsko društvo Valentin Stanič Kanal and CAI Val Natisone.
Meeting point:
- At 7 AM meeting at the CAI Val Natisone Hut below Mount St. Martin → van transfer to Pod Ježo Hut.
- At 8 AM start of the hike from Pod Ježo Hut.
As tradition goes, we will set out together from Pod Ježo Hut (740 m) and hike to the hut below Mount St. Martin (679 m). Along the way, we’ll stop at Gregorio's Barn (720 m) in Drenchia Superiore/Gorenja Dreka, where a light snack will be provided, before continuing on to our final destination, the hut below St. Martin (Baita CAI Val Natisone sotto il San Martino). There, we’ll wrap up the hike with a social gathering and celebrate the close of another successful year.
As always, the route will be scenic and varied, suitable for anyone in good physical condition.
Transportation back to Pod Ježo Hut will be provided for all registered participants.
