The Invito association and Pro Loco Nadiške Dolina – Valli del Natisone APS are hosting the third event in the cooking class series “Poguojki: Food Made with Love”, dedicated to rediscovering culinary traditions as a key part of local identity.
The class will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Trattoria da “Masha e l’Orso” in Osgnetto/Ošnije. The theme of the evening is “From Lent to Easter in the housegholds of the Natisone Valleys: when food lifts the Spirit”, highlighting typical ingredients of the Natisone Valleys, especially trout and apples.
Participants will prepare the traditional recipe “Maria’s Trout Delight”, a quenelle of potatoes, apple, and trout typical of Lent. They will also make Beneška senjamska goloba (Easter dove of Benečija), a symbol of Easter hospitality.
Guest chefs include Maria Gilda Primosig, a historic valley cook, and Stefania Predan, an expert on trout and local culinary traditions.
Spaces are limited and reservation is required.
