Location: SP45, Solarie/Solarji, 33040 Drenchia/Dreka (UD) | Rifugio koča Casoni Solarie
Along the cross-border Walk of Peace lies the secluded yet peaceful Casoni Solarie mountain refuge, part of the small village of Drenchia/Dreka, near the Slovenian border. Here, echoes of the First World War, more than a century ago, meet the present-day desire and joy of local communities to come together and share traditions.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the hosts at Casoni Solarie will welcome us for an evening of history, traditional food and wine.
Renato Grando, lecturer and historian of gastronomy, will guide us through the history of traditional mountain products and the culinary heritage of the Natisone Valleys, between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia.
