Suspended landscapes in delicate tones: These photographs capture the Upper Judrio Valley ("Idarska dolina" i nthe local Slovenian dialect) without romanticizing it or reducing it to an idyllic or nostalgic vision. They reveal quiet, suspended landscapes in delicate tones, often without human figures, yet unmistakably marked by human presence and intervention.
Professional photographer Massimo Crivellari works primarily in industrial and architectural photography. His work has been exhibited in Italy and abroad. He received the CRAF Photography Award for his exploration of human-shaped landscapes and the relationship between people and their environment.
On Tuesday, November 10, the exhibition will be open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Upcoming events:
- OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, October 31, at 5:00 p.m.
During the opening reception, Massimo Crivellari will be joined in conversation by his wife, writer Barbara Pascoli. A photographer and a writer will share two different perspectives on observing and telling the story of the same experience: choosing to live far from towns and population centers, in a valley where borders, isolation, abandonment, and the relationship with nature remain part of everyday life. The conversation will be followed by a guitar concert featuring Fabrizio Furci. The evening will conclude with a toast.
- ADDITIONAL EXHIBITION HOURS:
- Sunday, November 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Monday, November 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- CLOSING EVENT: Tuesday, December 8, at 2:30 p.m.
A guided tour of the exhibition and a photography workshop led by Massimo Crivellari.
