The new la column “Sentieri e Piaceri” of 4bicycle magazine started right in Benečija, discovering the Bernadia Trail Area and the Natisone Bike Arena. The project is, on the one hand, aimed at discovering and enhancing the excellence of the area and, on the other hand, providing bikers with a perfect combination of breathtaking trails and local food and wine peculiarities.
The idea of introducing this area still undiscovered by most people was born on the initiative of the guys from Maglia Nera APS and their desire to involve sports publishing professionals to introduce bikers to the beauty of the unspoiled natural environment and the food and wine delicacies that characterize our area.
So at the end of November, the journalist Cristiano Guarco and the photographer Carlo De Santis were our guests in Benečija, thanks also, and above all, to the valuable support of Maglia Nera APS and ASD Machete Team, who introduced them to the Bernadia Trail Area (in the Torre Valleys) and the Natisone Bike Arena (in the Natisone Valleys), respectively.
The hard work and costly commitment with which both local associations devote themselves to maintaining, charting and managing the trails in these two areas was no doubt brought even more to light by the 4bicycle article you can read here: Sentieri e Piaceri: alla scoperta delle Valli del Torre e del Natisone
Cristiano and Carlo's visit also allowed Benečija as a destination to present its excellence from a broader cycling tourism perspective. As a matter of fact, the two professionals were not only able to touch the Bernadia Trail Area and Natisone Bike Arena's cycling routes, framed by breathtaking landscapes and views, but also had the opportunity to taste its distinctive food and wine specialties and discover its historical and cultural heritage.
