With the INTER BIKE III project, in which the local GAL Torre Natisone is also a partner, a new chapter in sustainable mobility and cross-border tourism is opened. The Slovenian Regional Development Agency ROD Ajdovščina is introducing on an experimental basis a new free transport line that allows cycling and nature enthusiasts easy and sustainable access to hidden corners of the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy. The service is designed for different profiles of bike tourists - from families to recreational cyclists - eager to explore the cross-border area, immerse themselves in nature, learn about local history, and enjoy typical specialties.

The cross-border Ajdovščina - Cividale del Friuli line will run every Sunday from June 22 to September 14 with four daily trips (two in each direction). The bus with bike trailer will also make a stop at the Nova Gorica train station, thus providing an important multimodal connection for travelers traveling by train. The line makes it possible to conveniently combine rail and road transportation, providing access to numerous cultural, natural, and gastronomic attractions along the border.

The service is free of charge and no reservations are required.

Complete schedules and further details about the service are available below and at tourist information centers.
