A well-marked path leads to the old Biarzo mill. Not far away, the Biarzo shelter, dating from between the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods. In the background the flowing of the icy waters of the Natisone River. A place to breathe in history and enjoy the blue waters of the Natisone River.
From Ponteacco, a short forest path leads to the restored old mill, where the Pro loco Ponteacco has set up a visitor centre, and to the Natisone River, where you can relax for a while. Nearby, the Biarzo /Jama dol par malne shelter is considered one of the oldest human settlements in the region, and was inhabited for over 5,000 years between the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods. Artefacts dating back 10,000 years have been found.
