Museum of the Resian People Foto: Pro Loco Val Resia

Museum of the Resian People

A true window into the rural life of the people of Resia, the Museum of the Resian People (Museo delle Genti di Val Resia) also contains evidence of the tales for which Resia is known beyond its borders.

The Museum of the Resian People is part of the MISMOTU museum network, which has as its objectives the dissemination of traditions linked to the rural past and the preservation of Slovenian dialects originating on the Italian side of the Italian-Slovenian border. After devoting many years of research to the rediscovery and appreciation of the valley's rich heritage of fairy tales and the figure of the Resian novelist, the museum is currently hosting an exhibition on the Ta-na Rado excavations.
