Location: Montefosca/Čarni Varh, 33046 Pulfero/Podbonesec (UD)
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Planinska družina Benečije will host the traditional BURNJAK – Chestnut Festival in Montefosca / Črni vrh.
Program:
- 8:00 AM – Meet-up in Loch/Log.
- 8:30 AM – Hike begins in Calla/Kal. The hike to Montefosca takes approximately three and a half hours.
- 11:30 AM – Mass in Montefosca/Črni vrh, accompanied by the choir from Drežnica.
- 1:00 PM – Lunch.
- The afternoon will continue with roasted chestnuts and sweet treats.
Throughout the day, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the village, the old electric mill, and the Blumarji Museum in the former schoolhouse.
Please note: Montefosca/Črni vrh can only be reached by small buses with a capacity of approximately 30–35 passengers.
