The Knife Grinder’s Museum

Resia, the cradle of knife-grinders, now houses a museum dedicated to this trade.

The knife-grinder's museum (Museo dell'Arrotino) owes its existence to the fact that the trade of knife-grinder was so widespread in Stolvizza that in every family there was at least one knife-grinder who left his valley each year in fine weather to seek his fortune in the cities of the Habsburg Empire, and later on in the United Italy. The museum aims to be a place of testimony to a now forgotten way of life.
For access to the Knife Grinder’s Museum, reservations are recommended at +39 333 1253299. There is an admission fee.
