Location: Via Roma 21, Prato/Ravanca, 33010 Resia/Rezija (UD)
On Saturday, July 25, at 5:00 PM, the documentary “Guardians of the Water – Carnia Rises Up” will be screened in the presence of its director, Giulio Squarci.
The film explores the authentic philosophy of mountain life and the relationship between local communities and the freely flowing waters of Carnia. In this region, water serves as a unifying force in many ways and plays a central role in community governance. At the same time, it can also become a source of conflict, linked to the control and exploitation of a resource upon which life itself depends.
| This event marks the opening of “In-Contaminato,” a new festival that will run from June through September in the Resia Valley, featuring talks, conferences, documentary screenings, concerts, and participatory activities dedicated to water, sustainability, and the protection of pristine rivers. The festival was created to raise awareness among residents, families, and young people about the importance of natural resources, promote greater environmental consciousness, and highlight the valley’s remarkable natural and cultural heritage. |
Free admission. Refreshments will be served after the screening.
